📦 What arrived at El Affo Toys today
Today was another day that made collectors' hearts beat faster: new merchandise arrived – including two figures that couldn't be more different.
One of them goes straight into my personal collection, the other I'm still thinking about… but see for yourself.
You can also watch detailed review reels of both figures on my Instagram or Facebook profiles.
⚔️ Masters of the Universe Origins – Deluxe Laser Power He‑Man
Laser Power He‑Man is one of the most legendary MOTU figures ever. The original from the 80s was extremely rare and only available in Europe. The new Origins version brings back exactly that flair – with modern technology and really nice articulation.
⭐ Here are some facts about the figure
- 🔥 approx. 14 cm tall, 16 points of articulation
- 🎒 integrated backpack, harness & arm guard
- ⚡ glowing Power Sword as the absolute highlight
- 📘 includes mini-comic
- 📦 collector-friendly packaging, easy to open & re-seal
A true piece of MOTU history – and a must-have for my collection.

🔦 Laser Power He-Man – The Last Great Experiment of the Vintage Era
The Laser Power He-Man marks one of the most exciting moments in the late Masters of the Universe history. While the toyline was already discontinued in the USA in 1987, Mattel was working behind the scenes on a completely new concept: an interactive MOTU series that was to be linked to a live-action TV series. Technically, the whole thing was supposed to go in the direction of Captain Power – figures that react to the TV image with light, sensors, and electronic effects.
However, this ambitious project was shelved in 1988. What remained were some already developed figures, including Laser Power He-Man and his counterpart Laser Light Skeletor. Instead of scrapping them completely, Mattel decided on a small, purely European release – a quiet phasing out of a grand plan.
Laser Power He-Man was released exclusively in Europe in 1988, mainly in:
- Italy
- France
- Spain
Particularly interesting for collectors:
The Spanish version used the classic He-Man head, while the Italian and French releases received a modernized head sculpt. These variations continue to spark discussions and make the figure even more appealing to complete collectors.
💜 Monster High Skullector – Skeletor Doll
And then there's something completely different: the new Monster High Skullector Skeletor Doll.
A mix of fashion doll, homage, and delightfully exaggerated pop culture.
I'm not sure yet if she'll stay – but she's definitely an eye-catcher.
⭐ Here are some facts about the doll
- 🧍♀️ approx. 26 cm tall, 11 points of articulation
- 👗 outfit inspired by Skeletor's iconic look: metallic fabrics & vinyl details
- 🛡️ armor consisting of chest plate, arm parts & belt
- 💜 long violet hair, red gaze, dramatic cape
- 🐍 Havoc Staff & snake coiling around one leg
- 👠 extravagant sandals with claws & Snake Mountain heels
- 🎁 high-quality collector's box with slipcase, artwork & certificate

🧸 Conclusion of the Day
A MOTU classic that finally glows on the shelf again, and a Monster High interpretation that is guaranteed to spark conversation.
This mix of nostalgia, surprise, and passion is exactly what El Affo Toys means to me.
